I released several new features this week. The first and largest being multi-currency support so Tripsdock can be used around the world. After that came recording the trip counts of group members, so you can see that Paul has attended 20 trips and Mark just the 2. Then we have multi-night support for crossings/ferries, so longer crossings are configurable.
Organising a motorcycle group tour is one of those things that sounds straightforward until you're actually doing it. A dozen people, five hotels, three different room configurations, and everyone wanting to know what they owe and where they're sleeping. Most organisers end up managing it in a spreadsheet. Many of those spreadsheets are impressively built. All of them are fragile.
The first real group went live this week with their first trip. That milestone brought two new features aimed at helping people actually use the platform — and keeping them committed once they've signed up.
Shorter update this week — fewer features, but a significant moment. We're on the doorstep of the first real group going live.
The last post covered booking guardrails, visual workflow cues, and a big chunk of under-the-hood tidying. This week's been more outward-facing — features that people will actually see and that make the platform feel more credible, plus a few things that help new users find their feet.
Last time I wrote one of these, we were closing in on go-live with room sharing, cost recovery, and the ICE rework. That stuff's bedded in now, and this week's been about making the day-to-day experience of actually running a trip smoother — fewer surprises, better guardrails, and a lot of tidying up under the hood.
