What Shipped This Week: Go-Live Edition
Shorter update this week — fewer features, but a significant moment. We're on the doorstep of the first real group going live.
Getting ready for that meant two features that weren't originally on the list, but turned out to be essential once real-world trip data entered the picture.
Offline Payment Recording
Groups don't always start using Tripsdock at the beginning of a trip cycle. Deposits may already have been collected. Organisers can now record payments that don't correspond to a payment request — so the platform's financial picture stays accurate even when the payment trail started elsewhere. Balances, outstanding amounts, and payment history all reflect reality.
Fixed Price Mode
Some experienced organisers work out a fixed per-person price upfront and that's what participants pay — no variable room-level breakdowns, no cost recovery surcharge. Fixed Price mode supports exactly that. It's not the default, but it's there for the organiser who already has their own model and doesn't need the platform getting in the way of it.
With both in place, the focus shifts from building to watching. First real trip, first real participants, first real test.
