When do I pay the platform fee?

The platform fee is charged once registration is closed and all participants have paid their deposits. You'll be prompted to pay before you can progress the trip further.

Are there any other fees?

No. There are no monthly subscriptions, setup fees, or transaction charges from Tripsdock. The per-participant, per-night fee is the only cost.

How is the fee calculated?

The fee is a small amount per participant per trip night, with a minimum per participant. For example, a 5-night trip with 10 participants would be 50 × the per-night rate. You can see the exact current rates on the pricing section above.

What if participants drop out?

The platform fee is calculated based on the registered participant count when all deposits are complete. If participants drop out after this point, the fee is not recalculated or refunded.

Can I pass the fee on to participants?

Yes, you can include the platform fee in the overall trip cost you charge participants. The fee is typically small enough to absorb into the trip price.

Is my first trip really free?

Yes! Your very first trip on Tripsdock is completely free, regardless of size or duration. It's our way of letting you experience the platform with zero risk.

How does trip costs work?

When you create your trip structure, you'll be asked to set estimated prices for each component. Anyone signing up will be shown this estimated price for the trip. As you progress through the trip lifecycle and start making the actual bookings, you will update each component with room and rate information, and finally assign participants to these rooms. Once this is done, participants receive an email confirming their final price.
